Poem // I kissed a girl (2015)

i kissed a girl

who lit up the

entire sky,

a lovely, lively

ball of

fire and love,

the life-giving star

on its daily path

past earth.

but the sun in the sky

cannot feel

her own radiance,

cannot see how

she warms

all the air

and kisses the

blushing cheeks

of an ungrateful girl

who could not

realize her warmth

until she is

gone, far

beyond the

horizon.
